By way of example, we have represented property owners in arbitration proceedings and in legal proceedings, to separate their interests in significant property holdings from those of their business partners.

As well, during the COVID-19 pandemic, we represented a major Canadian real estate developer and manager in litigation against Hudson’s Bay Company ULC, which had ceased to pay rent on premises located in several major shopping centres. On a very timely basis, FFMP was successful in obtaining court orders compelling the payment of rent, despite government-ordered closures and pandemic-related disruptions.
